17 Nov Faction Carnival
Our Spencer Park Primary School values of ‘Respect’ and ‘Doing Your Best’ were certainly showcased at our Faction Carnival held on Friday 6th November 2020. Originally scheduled for the Monday of week 4, our Faction Carnival was postponed due to a severe weather forecast BUT our Spencer spirit was not dampened!
Our eager and energetic students were thrilled to finally take part in their individual track and team events on Friday. Excited parents and grandparents enjoyed cheering them on and were treated to some stand out performances and battles across all year groups in our jumps, throws, team and running events. Most importantly, our students displayed great sportsmanship and participated with beaming ear to ear smiles. Click here to see some of the action.
Congratulations to our champions, runners up and GREEN faction who won the AJ Barnesby Shield. Great performances were not limited to the track. Thank you to our dedicated SPPS staff once again for their hard work and energy invested into organising and running the carnival. Also a special thank you to our volunteers who helped on the oval (set up, judging, commentating, pack away) and behind the scenes in the canteen whipping up delicious lunches and treats.
Good luck to our students who will be representing Spencer Park Primary School at the inter-school carnival next week. GO SPENCER PARK!
