15 Mar Quality Teaching Strategy Lead Schools Conference
Mr Hadlow, Mrs Ruffell and Mrs Collins spent 2 days in Perth recently attending the Quality Teaching Strategy Lead Schools Conference. At the conference, they heard directly from the Department of Education’s Director General, Lisa Rodgers and engaged in robust discussions on education with Professor John Hattie (pictured below).
It was a great opportunity to collaborate with the 35 other QTS lead schools from around the state. As a lead school, we continue to strengthen Teaching for Impact schools by
– Raising awareness
– Building engagement, and
– Providing support.
“It is so impressive and imperative that the focus of this initiative is on the impact of teaching. It is wonderful that the WA notion of impact includes improvements in achievement, developing love of learning, strategies of learning, motivation and engagement in learning, and working collectively with other students.” ….John Hattie
