Cubism Art – Room 11

Our Year 5/6 students recently completed these awesome cubism inspired art projects with Mrs Ruffell👇 Wow! 🤩 They look fantastic!!
Cubism refers to an art movement that lasted from around 1907 to 1914. The basic idea behind this art movement is to reduce the subject of a work of art into more simple, less defined, geometric shapes. Cubism is thought to be the earliest form of abstract art; it deliberately took something real and made it seem less recognisable. Some famous Cubist artists were Pablo Picasso, Georges Braque and Juan Gris.
