21 Jul Painting a Portrait
Have you seen these masterpieces (click here) on display outside Room 11? Students in Ms Reading and Mrs Elphick’s classroom have been building confidence in their ability to draw a portrait. The learning intention was to create an art piece that incorporated stencil, outline and watercolour techniques. To be successful our students needed to:
Use a picture to create a stencil technique to create art
Use watercolour paints to create a flat wash technique using three warm and two cool tertiary colours
Use thick and thin line work to create an outline
Gorgeous!
