Our Room 2 students have been reading the novel ‘Kensuke’s Kingdom’ by Michael Morpurgo with Ms Moreton. They are loving the adventure story of a family that sets off to sail around the world, and then disaster strikes. A lot of writing and art has been inspired by the story, and these wonderful pictures (click here) show the beauty and vastness of the ocean and the reality of sailing in a tiny yacht. The students used paint to create the sky and ocean backgrounds, and then drew tiny yachts in texta.
