30 Jun Mrs Kightly Retires
This week Mrs Jenny Kightly announced that she is officially retiring from teaching after an impressive 31 years teaching in WA and 12 years teaching at SPPS…WOW!! Jenny has worked in a variety of roles across our school including teaching Coolangarras, Year 3 and most recently in Yr 1/2. Throughout her time at SPPS Jenny was a wonderful teacher, a close colleague to many, an active participant in many school groups and served on our School Board. We held a special morning tea (with some familiar faces!) for Jenny on Tuesday to celebrate her retirement and her many achievements.
We would also like to acknowledge the significant volunteer contribution that Mr Kightly has made to our school community particularly in reading with our students, serving up delicious food in our canteen and keeping us entertained at carnivals and events with his commentary and jokes as our MC.
We wish Mrs and Mr Kightly all the best and hope they come back often to visit us!
