Adopt a Spot

Spencer Park Primary School has joined the Keep Australia Beautiful, Adopt a Spot program. On Monday afternoon, in glorious sunshine, a group of eight Year 6 student citizens went over to the Archibald Menzies Memorial Garden to pick up rubbish. We wore fluro vests, so people could easily see us and used tongs and gloves to keep us safe. We picked up the rubbish in the gardens because we care about the environment and our community. We also wanted the paths to be clear and nice for Spencer Park kids and the community to walk and ride through, especially everyone who tries to use more active transport to get to school or around the community. We really enjoyed helping our environment and our community. Click here to have a look at our photos.
