Children’s University have a whale of a time

Our Children’s University students had a whale of a time during the school holidays! Fourteen of our SPPS Children’s University students spent a day exploring Albany’s Historic Whaling Station 🐳
They started the day with a guided tour down to stand on the actual decks where the whales were processed many year ago. The super knowledgeable tour guide gave them an interesting insight into the whaling industry in Albany. There’s SO much to learn and see.
After the tour they climbed aboard and explored the last whale chaser in Australia and also stood underneath the skeleton of the last sperm whale harpooned in Albany…WOW!! The 3D movie was another favourite attraction for our students. To finish off the day they walked up through the Regional Wildflower Garden and on to the Australian Wildlife Park. A big thank you to Emma, Children’s University Project Officer, for organising an awesome day of learning and fun for our students. Please click here to see our photos.
