Lest we forget

Our Spencer Park school community came together in the school hall yesterday to mark the 106th anniversary of the ANZAC landing and pay tribute to our present and past servicemen and women. The moving ANZAC ceremony was coordinated by Miss Cheetham and her Room 9 students. The students had installed their stunning handmade poppies display around the school grounds and delivered readings of their personal ANZAC cinquain poems during the service.

Mrs Swann led our talented school choir in beautifully performing the National Anthem, Flanders Fields and Last Night I had the Strangest Dream.  Four student representatives from Spencer Park Primary School and Spencer Park Education Support Centre respectfully laid wreaths at the front of the service to commemorate the people who fought for Australia and New Zealand during times of war.  Please click here to view the images from our ANZAC service.
