10 May Celebrating Mother’s Day

Strong – Awesome – Special – Funny – Delicate – Brave – Nice – THE BEST! These are some of the beautiful words that Mrs Fletcher’s Year 2 students used to describe their mums in their writing last week. They also created these absolutely GORGEOUS portraits of their mothers. We think their mums will LOVE their very special artwork.

On Thursday and Friday our students spent (considerable!) time wandering around the Mother’s Day stall trying to select THE perfect gift to give to their loved maternal figures.

Huge thanks to our wonderful SPPS P&C for organising and running our Mother’s Day stall again  It was a great opportunity for our students to bring in their saved money, manage their cash budgets and really think about what would be nice and special for the mum they were buying for.

All SPPS students were in the running to win the P&C Mother’s Day hamper that was selected by the SPPS random generator system. The winner was: Maddie from Year 6, Room 9 Congratulations
