28 Apr SPPS P&C goes for a row in Term 1
Our AMAZING Spencer Park Primary School P&C have had an exceptionally busy but rewarding start to the year. Here’s a snapshot of what they have been up to:
- Canteen – Mrs Arta and her volunteers have kept our canteen open four days a week providing our staff and students with a delicious, healthy and nutritious range of food options.
- Uniform Shop – Open two mornings a week our volunteers offer our families new and second hand uniforms. Our students very proudly wear their uniform to school and we think they look fabulous!
- Rowing machine – Have you heard about the new rowing machine that our P&C purchased for the school at the end of Term 1 for the Room 10 reset room? Shout out to Totally Sports and Surf for supporting our school community. When they heard about our P&C’s hard work and fundraising activities they very kindly offered a discount, assembled the rower AND then delivered it to the school. THANKS Totally Sports and Surf, we really appreciate it!
- Mother’s Day Stall – On Thursday (kindy) and Friday (PP – Yr 6) this week our students have the opportunity to independently buy their mum or a special mother figure/loved one a small gift at our annual Mother’s Day Stall.
In addition to this, we also have Cash for Cans, planning for playground upgrades, discos, eco friendly fundraising initiatives, school mural art, crazy hair day, crazy sock day AND we need your new ideas!
Our next P&C meeting is at 7pm on Monday 3 May 2021 in the SPPS staff room. Everyone is welcome. Come along to find out what’s happening, share your ideas, tell us what you would like to see, volunteer for an event or activity, get involved in something big or small and most importantly…have FUN with your children and enjoy our school community.
