National Ride2School Day

The streets of Spencer Park were a bustling sea of blue SPPS uniforms on Friday 19th March as our Spencer Park Primary School families left their cars at home and instead rode, walked, scooted and skated their way to school for National Ride2School Day.

National Ride2School Day is Australia’s biggest celebration of active travel with over 350,000 students participating nationwide. It is a day full of fun and colour where students, teachers and parents discover the joy of riding and kick-start healthy habits for the future. This year we had two meeting points for students who wanted to ride together in a supported group meanwhile other students made their way to school independently.  Once all the bikes and scooters were securely stored at school everyone enjoyed a delicious healthy breakfast in the undercover area – YUMMO!

Big thanks to our amazing staff and parents for encouraging our students to be active and ensuring that all of our students arrived safely at school. Have a look at our photos – click here
